March Week 9 – Meditation 

With picking up so many bugs in the first couple months of 2017 I decided to spend the first week focusing on meditation. I first came across meditation in 2014 when I was introduced to the Headspace App and Andy Puddicombe. Throughout 2014/15 I would say I dabbled in a routine. 

When I meditate I definitely notice a difference in myself and my relationships. I react differently to situations by being able to sit back and look at what is going on and being said as opposed to reacting to a misused word or difficult situation. I also noticed I generally felt a bit happier and lighter. In spite of this I’ve always found it hard to stick to a regular routine. I’ve made it my goal for March to meditate everyday even if it’s only for 10 minutes.

I am on track with this so far and I’m using the Calm app to track my progress and their daily calm sessions to guide me.
